Meet your instructor: Sam Gordon
I spent the first half of my career as a pop-culture writer and radio host, interviewing bands live on-air at WRLR in the Chicago suburbs. I took a detour from entertainment to write the copy for a cookbook with a local restaurant, The Meatloaf Bakery, which led to years of copywriting for local businesses across many industries.
Soon after, I became a production assistant for a stand-up show on JBTV and moved to Atlanta, where I wrote on the weekly news satire show Good Evening, Tonight. In Atlanta, I started my business, Windy Peach Comedy. Windy Peach teaches comedy writing, produces events like my fundraiser, Reproductive Bits, and supports other creatives with my production and creative skills. In 2019 I partnered with Don’t Tell Comedy and began producing pop-up events around Atlanta. Between these experiences, I have produced 1500+ live events and coached 180+ students through their comedy journey with my writing courses.
In addition to creating my own opportunities, I have had the pleasure of working on staff for several scripted series and am a proud member of the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA).
